Originally the front parlor of the house, this large, first floor, corner guest room features a queen-sized brass bed with large windows facing East and South for lots of sunlight. Two velvet chairs face the original wood burning fireplace (of course we provide the firewood, kindling and matches!), making this a great spot for a glass of wine or a cozy nook in which to read. Oriental rugs, sheer draperies with bullion fringe, and an antique bureau add to the elegance of the room. This guest room is one of the most romantic, and requested, guest rooms in the inn.
Take a peek outside one of the windows for the best view of our majestic maple tree on the front lawn of the Main Inn. Small private bathroom with shower. Inn history tells us this room was a favorite of Geena Davis (New England College Alumni) who stayed here when she gave the commencement address at New England College in the nineties! All guestrooms include hairdryers. This guest room can accommodate a roll away for a third guest.
